CLOUD COMPUTING

1.WHAT IS CLOUD COMPUTING...?

Well, in brief, cloud computing is the available programs that allow an end user (you) to tap into any of numerous software applications through any computer that has that particular application already
downloaded onto that computer.

Let's say you created a spread sheet and wanted to take that spread sheet with you without taking the whole computer with you.Utilizing "cloud computing" would enable you to open that spreadsheet on another computer by way of friendly applications that can read the program you used to create the spreadsheet. You could store the spreadsheet on an online "cloud" and then reopen it on another computer that has the same programs.

Basically, if you can offer a service that would supply one's needs for communicating or transferring data over a period of time or distance, without the need to carry any physical equipment other than maybe a USB or DVD... that is the power of working in a "cloud" or virtual space to complete a task or provide a service.

2.HISTORY OF CLOUD COMPUTING

The underlying concept refers back to 1960 when JOHN MCCARTHY said that "Computation may someday be organised as a public utility".Around 21st century the term cloud was already in commercial use and a large scale cloud computing research project, around the time the term started gaining popularity in the mainstream press.

3.WHAT IS DRIVING CLOUD COMPUTING...?

Basically there are two perspectives which are driving cloud computing. They are:
(1)Customer perspective where it doesn't require any ongoing for the operational expenses for running  data center.
(2)Vendor perspective where it has the ability to drive the down data center operational cots.

4.SERVICES

Three main services of cloud computing are as follows:
(1)IAAS which stands for Infrastructure as a service.
(2)SAAS which stands for Software as a service.
(3)PAAS which stands for Platform as a service.

5.TYPES BY VISIBILITY

  (1)Public Cloud
  (2)Hybrid Cloud
  (3)Private Cloud
The names of the above clouds suggest you about how the clouds are classified.

6.HOW CLOUD COMPUTING WORKS..?

 7.SECURITY BENEFITS

 (a)Centralized data
 (b)Incident response
 (c)Password assurance testing
 (d)Logging
(e)Improve the state of security software
 (f)Secure builds
 (g)Security testing
